A land office in your pocket: how we designed an app for selling lots

A land office in your pocket: how we designed an app for selling lots

Selling lots and land developments has a classic problem: the information lives in a spreadsheet only the agent understands, and the buyer waits on a PDF that never quite arrives. We designed and built a mobile app to fix exactly that. Here’s a look inside, piece by piece.

The problem it solves

In a land development, availability changes every day. One lot on hold, one sold, one released back. When that information lives only in the agent’s head or in a shared spreadsheet, the buyer never sees the real picture and the sales team burns time confirming the same thing over and over.

The app puts that information in front of the buyer, current and presentable, without the agent having to sit in the middle of every question.

Search and catalog

The main screen is a search box. The buyer types a development name, a city or a property type and instantly sees what’s available, with aerial photos, starting price and how many units are left. No tangled menus: finding comes first.

A listing sheet with live availability

Every property has its own sheet: gallery, description, amenities and a board with the numbers that actually matter. How many lots in total, how many available, how many on hold and how many sold. That counter updates live, so what the buyer sees is what’s really there.

Once the buyer can see real availability, they stop asking questions and start making decisions.

Payment calculator

The number one objection in real estate is money. So we built a calculator into the app: the buyer picks a down payment and a term and instantly sees their estimated monthly payment. It’s a powerful sales tool, because it turns a price that scares people into a payment that feels possible.

A direct line to the agent

Everything ends in one action: reaching the agent, with the property of interest already attached to the message. The buyer arrives at the conversation informed and warm, and the agent knows exactly which lot they’re talking about. Fewer rounds, more closings.

The important part: it’s built for you

We designed and built this app end to end, for one specific industry. It’s not a generic template where you drop in your photos and hope. If your business needs a tool like this (a catalog, a calculator, a process your customers can carry in their pocket), we build it around how you actually sell.

Do you have a development, a catalog or a process that would fit perfectly in an app? Tell us about it and we’ll show you what it would look like built for you.
